Koedo Kurari is a renovated facility that utilizes the buildings of the former Kagamiyama Sake Brewery, which was founded in 1875 (Meiji 8), while preserving the atmosphere of the time.
The brewery, which was built between the Meiji and Showa eras, has been reused and is designated as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. It has three warehouses: “Souvenir Shop (Meiji warehouse),” “Makanai (Taisho warehouse),” and “Kikizake (Showa warehouse),” and “Tsudoi (exhibition warehouse).

The renovated sake cellars from the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods have been designated as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan, and include a souvenir shop (Meiji Brewery), a food preparation shop (Taisho Brewery), and a sake tasting room (Showa Brewery), as well as a meeting place (exhibition hall).
The Meiji Storehouse “Souvenir Shop” has a corner selling Koedo Kawagoe brand products, a confectionery demonstration corner, a coffee shop corner, and a tourist information corner.
The Taisho Storehouse “Makanai-dokoro” has a restaurant serving creative Japanese cuisine using local ingredients. Visitors can relax and enjoy it with sake unique to Kawagoe.
At the Showa Kura “Kiki Sake Place,” sake from 34 breweries in Saitama Prefecture is gathered in one place, and visitors can compare sakes using a tasting machine for a fee. There is also a fermented gourmet corner with items such as soy sauce and miso.
