Saitama » Kawagoe, Higashimatsuyama
Kawagoe Suijo Koen is a year-round recreation spot where visitors can enjoy various seasonal pleasures such as cherry blossom viewing in spring, a variety of swimming pools including the prefecture’s largest tube slide and running water pool in summer, autumn leaves and higanbana in fall, and pool fishing in winter.
In spring, someiyoshino cherry trees and double-flowered cherry trees are in full bloom, and dogwood, lentil, and snow willow trees also add color to the park, allowing visitors to enjoy walking while enjoying the full bloom of cherry trees.
The park is also a comprehensive recreational facility with boating, tennis, lure fly fishing, futsal courts, and a fitness club.
The park is located on the right bank of the Iruma River, about 2 km west of downtown Kawagoe City. It is a vast prefectural park of 44.6 hectares surrounded by greenery and was established mainly as a swimming pool facility in 1972, and was built to create a space of water and greenery.
In summer, nine types of pools are open for visitors to enjoy while cooling off with attractions such as flowing pools, wave pools, and sliders.
Especially popular is the “Aqua Snake” tube slide. This slide is an astounding 148 meters long! It also has a height difference of about 15 meters, making it look like the height of a four-story building. Once you slide down from the top with a lot of water, you will feel a great sense of exhilaration!
In addition, there is a shallow pool, so families with small children can swim in peace.
