Tobu Zoo

Hybrid leisure land combining a zoo and an amusement park on a vast site

Tobu Zoo is one of the largest leisure land complexes in the Kanto region, combining a zoo and an amusement park on a vast site covering a total area of 61 hectares.

Visitors can meet approximately 1,200 animals of about 120 species. In the zoo, visitors are welcomed by a variety of animals, including the powerful white tigers. There will also be plenty of animal interaction and events.

The zoo features behavioral exhibits that make herbivorous animals such as capybaras and squirrel monkeys run aggressively and exhibits that reproduce natural landscapes.

At the amusement park, visitors can enjoy more than 30 different attractions, including a Ferris wheel that offers a panoramic view of the park and rides for small children. The park offers a comfortable environment for families with young children.

The amusement park is divided into four areas: Libertyland, Pleasureland, Heartful Town, and Heartful Farm, with the overseas virtual reality theme park VR HEAD ROCK expanding in 2019.

With more than 30 attractions and a large swimming pool open during the summer season, the park attracts many guests during long vacations.

The pool is also open during the summer season, and “Winter Illumination” is held during the winter season. In addition, visitors can bring their own pop-up tents and spend free time on the lawn area.

In addition, there are also collaborative anime and manga events and cosplay events.

Leisure Land consists of three main areas: the amusement park on the east side, the zoo in the middle, and the zoo, Tobu Super Pool, and horseback riding club on the west side. Trailer buses provide transportation between the east and west sides of the park.

The park has large ponds such as the Himeomiya Ochigawa River and Kasahara-numa Drop, which are derived from the Kasahara-numa Swamp that once existed around Tobu Zoo and Animal Park.
